Photos and digital graphic arts of African prints and sculptures
The collection of our digital graphic arts variations of sketches and pictures are based on the royal arts of the Bini bronze sculptures and the Oshogbo textile art prints and designs.
*Emotan Arts* is an exploration of African visual arts and the symbols of the oracles, from the shadow masks and the Yoruba textile arts to the royal sculptures of the Binis in Edo state, Nigeria. It is an exploration of African innovative arts in its contemporary terrains without borderline between the old and the new generation.
*Emotan Arts* is founded to trace the role of African arts and its socio-political transformation in the enrichment of community life and cultural heritage of African people everywhere.
The photography of every piece of The Shadow Mask tells the story of its origin from its aesthetic, deconstruction, deformation and disfiguration to its transformation. The photography of The Shadow Mask reveals its abstract relations in its lightness and the proportion of its visual dynamism which explore the indigenous arts and universal ideas.
