Invitation and Proposal for a Mobilization CD
This is an invitation for people considered as refugees and migrants to come to Berlin from the 23rd to 24th of July to participate in a workshop intended to define the contents for a multi-lingual informational/mobilization CD which will be distributed throughout Germany in heims, migrant associations, events, etc. The idea is to create a radio-like documentary program.
In an experimental attempt to create a form of communication amongst ourselves, we are proposing to make a CD suited to the practical problems faced by refugees and migrants on a daily basis with thirty minute segments in the different languages in the form of a radio program, with music, commentary, analysis, and information/news. In order to determine what should be communicated in the CD, we are inviting all interested refugees and migrants to participate in a two day workshop. The results of the discussion will be what determines which issues should be used for the content of the CD.
The proposal is to connect the content of the CD to a wider mobilization for the self-organization of refugees and migrants as well as strategies for self-support (courts, control, legal issues, etc.). Thus, we are inviting all interested refugees and migrants to participate in the discussion about which issues most affect our daily lives (deportation, restriction of movement, the status of being without papers-and on the run, etc.).
We see the process of making this CD as a possibility to better inform ourselves and to better coordinate our demands. The intention is to only make one CD and to let the results define the next steps to take. All of those who want to make their voice heard-without filters-should feel welcome to participate in the workshop. Likewise, all those interested in participating in the preparation, production or distribution process are invited to do so.
The workshop will take place on the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, from the 23rd to 24th of July in Berlin. It will be held in the meeting space of the Refugee and Migrant's Platform (A6 Laden, Adalbertstr. 6, U-1/8 Kottbusser Tor). Food, accommodations and transportation costs will be made available. So as to arrange proper accommodations, please contact us and let us know if you plan to attend the workshop. Finally, we call on all interested to do their best to inform other refugees and migrants about this proposal, inviting them to participate in the process.

Einladung und Vorschlag für eine Mobilisierungs-CD
Dieses ist eine Einladung, die sich an Menschen, die als Flüchtlinge und MigrantInnen angesehen werden, richtet. Am 23. Und 24. Juli findet in Berlin ein Workshop zur Diskussion und Vorbereitung einer mehrsprachigen Informations- und Mobilisierungs- CD statt, die bundesweit in Heimen, an Organisationen und auf Veranstaltungen verteilt werden soll.
In dem Versuch, die Kommunikation zwischen uns herzustellen bzw. zu verbessern, schlagen wir vor, eine CD, die sich mit den alltäglichen Problemen von Flüchtlingen und MigrantInnen auseinandersetzt, zu produzieren. In Form einer „Radio-Show“ soll die CD in jeweils 30-min¸tigen Segmenten in den verschiedenen Sprachen Informationen, Musik, Analysen und Kommentare enthalten. Um gemeinsam herauszufinden, was der Inhalt dieser CD sein sollte, laden wir alle interessierten Flüchtlinge und MigrantInnen zum zweitägigen Workshop ein. Die Ergebnisse des Workshops bestimmen, was der Inhalt der CD sein wird.
Unser Vorschlag ist, den Inhalt der CD sowohl mit einer breiteren Mobilisierung zur Selbstorganisierung von Flüchtlingen und MigrantInnen als auch mit der Diskussionen um Strategien in der gegenseitigen Unterstützung (vor Gericht, bei Kontrollen, juristisches, etc.) zu verbinden. Deshalb laden wir alle Interessierten ein, an der Diskussion um die Themen, die unser tägliches Leben beeinflussen (Abschiebung, Residenzpflicht, leben ohne Papiere, ungesicherter Aufenthaltsstatus, etc.), teilzunehmen.
Wir sehen den Prozess der CD-Produktion auch als eine Möglichkeit, uns (gegenseitig) besser zu informieren und unsere Bedürfnisse besser zu koordinieren. Es soll erst mal eine CD produziert werden. Die Ergebnisse bestimmen dann das weitere Vorgehen. All diejenigen, deren Stimme gehört werden soll, sind herzlich eingeladen. Ebenso wie diejenigen, die sich an der Produktion der CD direkt beteiligen wollen.
Der Workshop findet vom 23. Bis 24. Juli in Berlin statt. Der genaue Ort ist der Treffpunkt der Platform für Flüchtlinge und MigrantInnen
(A6-Laden, Adalberstrasse 6, U1/U8 Kottbusser Tor). Für Verpflegung und Übernachtung ist gesorgt, Reisekosten können erstattet werden.
Bitte lasst uns wissen, ob Ihr plant, am Worlshop teilzunehmen, damit wir für genügend Übernachtungsmögichkeiten sorgen können.
Letztlich möchten wir alle aufrufen, auch anderen Flüchtlinge und Migrantinnen von diesem Vorschlag zu erzählen und sie einzuladen, an dem Worlshop teilzunehmen.
