A hymn for him and for us a hymn
For we are dusts! Ashes to ashes burnt alive
With cigarette lighters all over police cells in
Dessau where every old and young escaping
Gaping ghosts of Sierra Leone coasts will dive
In mindless plunge into thickening blaze of flames
For we are ashes! Dusts to dusts! Smoking refugees
Away from third world to first world before sunset
Where we must go in way of flames for a hymn
Hymn composed with calculated calm in klavier keys
Covered in thickness of blurred red fire scalds. Read
And recited in discondant harmonised rhythm before
Rendering into rivulet flow from courts courting cops
Performance of curious chorus either in skin cuts or
Profiling every colored caught off guard and hacked
Into peaceful pieces! That each may rest in perfect piece
That kind kindreds gather quickly for a hymn for him:
Peace perfect peace
In this dark world of sins
The blood of Jesus whispers peace within…
II
Long before hymn a living deadman
Is thoroughly searched before a lock Up
Of stretched two hands like Jesus Christ
Tied tight upon uncrossed concrete base
Have you been washed in the blood of the ram?
Have you been drowned in the depth of the clan?
Have you been chained with unleashed mind pain?
Have you been held with your head in the drain?
Let supervising cops suddenly go deaf
And ignore fire alarms and scorching man´s scream
Let each respond in their own snail speeds
On time to watch a young man charred!
Peace perfect peace
In this dark world of sins
The blood of Jesus whispers peace within…
Let two more years hopelessly discount
Let Dessau court submit a nicht recounting
Of those two cops whose cups overflow
Let ebbing excuse deafen further hearing
Peace perfect peace
In this dark world of sins
The blood of Jesus whispers peace within…
Where then is the hymn for Oury Jalloh?
Where then, a hymn for hymn?
Like the hymn recited for Dominique Kouamadio
Shot and killed by cops in Dortmund
Where then is the hymn for Oury Jalloh?
Where then, a hymn for hymn?
Like Laye-Alama Condé and John Achidi
Died after hymn cops forced emetics down their throats
Where then is the hymn for Oury Jalloh?
Where then, a hymn for hymn?
Like Amir Ageeb and Kola Bankole
Killed in the process of hymnal deportation
Where then is the hymn for Oury Jalloh?
Where then, a hymn for hymn?
Like N'deye Mareame Sarr
Shot and killed by cops in her ex-husband´s house
Where then is the hymn for Oury Jalloh?
Where then, a hymn for hymn?
Like we forever wearing our dark skins
While seeking refuge in Geneva convention
While we are here awaiting our deaths
With further feuer from cigarette lighters!
A hymn for us…
For us a hymn…
