The longest refugee protest march in our time from Würzburg to Berlin - crossing the federal borders between Thueringen and Bavaria
Actionday of March of Protest September 18th 2012 in Erfurt:
Rally and Press Conference at 11:00 Hrs
in front of the Thüringer Parliament with Tent Action and Cakes for All -
At 16:00 Hrs Begins the Demonstration to the Refugee Lager in city of Erfurt „Gemeinschaftsunterkünften“ with Closing Rally at the Erfurt Main Train Station
The refugee protest march to Berlin started in Wuerzburg on the 8th of september 2012 after months of refugees protest against the inhumane treatments of refugees to condemn the humanrights abuses against the refugees and the decades of underdeveloped asylum policies of discrimination and criminalisation of refugees in Bavaria state and the federal republic of germany.
By now the protest march has reached and crossed a political important border. The inner german border which separated east and west germany for over 40 years through death traps should be no obstacle for anybody but asylum seekers commit a crime if they pass it.
On thursday, september the 13th at about 10 o clock the refugees proved their independence by destroying their personal identity documents and crossed the former inner german border.
With this action they break the Residenzpflicht and continue their way to Berlin. One of the next important stations will be Erfurt.
Break the Isolation: Freedom of Movement is for everyone !
The communities of refugee activists from the various lagers in Germany have continued to call for the immediate abolition of Residenzpflicht and to break the discriminatory logic of borders in civil disobiedience as well as to stop deportation and to close down all the refugee Lager camp in Germany
The protests started as a reaction to the suicide of Mohammad R, who couldn't stand the situation in the refugee lager of Würzburg anymore. Since then there have been nation wide tent protest actions to express solidarity for a better situation, for the minimum demand to the restore the dignity of refugees and for the freedom of movement for everybody in Germany.
We call everybody, refugees and local people, to join the protest march. Break the isolation and help to the end restrictions against human beings.
„Colonialism has many faces and Every refugee has his own story: Together we will continue to strengthen the refugee struggles against Colonial injustice in Germany. Emphasized by Osaren Igbinoba of The VOICE Refugee Forum Jena.
