Refugees Remember the Death of Their Fello w Refugee Oury Jalloh on 07.01.2016
The death of Oury Jalloh in Dessau reveals how the responsible authorities in Sachsen Anhalt and beyond i.e. BAMF Halberstadt, the foreign office, the administration, etc., deny the minority refugees their legal rights of Asylum and appropriate legal protection.
Instead, refugees were exposed to repressions, criminalization, interdiction not to work, ignorance, humiliation, racial profiling, restriction of movements, and application of negative laws, etc.
Oury Jalloh suffered these treatments in Sachsen Anhalt before he died. Consequently, as we remember the death of Oury Jalloh, we remember also the administrative abuses in Sachsen Anhalt on minority refugees.
We demand that all refugees be protected and stop destroying our lives and perspectives.
We are watching and observing how the responsible authorities are treating us so that what happened to Oury Jalloh will not happen again to any of us in Sachsen Anhalt and beyond.
