It was more than 2 years before the trial against the responsible police officers was opened!
In these 2 years the preliminary proceedings of the public prosecutor were dominated by attempts to raise prove of the possibility, that Oury Jalloh must have been able to burn himself, chained in a “naked” police cell.
The opening of the trial despite the official theory of suicide was only due to the massive public protests of the nationwide campaign of the initiative in memory of Oury Jalloh under the motto „BREAK THE SILENCE“.
An end of the court proceedings cannot be foreseen, as the official hypothesis of suicide itself is accumulating more and more far reaching contradictions.
Since public interest decreased as time went by and the obviousness of the unbearable contradictions is wearing down, we those who witness the trial now strongly demand for an independent investigation, which is also able to seriously and dreadlessly follow up other possible courses of the "myterious death" in question!

Der Kampf der bundesweiten Initiative in Gedenken an Oury Jalloh

Erst nach 2 Jahren wird der Prozess gegen die verantwortlichen Polizeibeamten eröffnet!
In diesen 2 Jahren sind die Ermittlungsbehörden vordergründig damit beschäftigt nachzuweisen, dass es für Oury Jalloh möglich gewesen sein muss, sich selbst in einer „nackten“ Gewahrsamszelle anzuzünden.
Die Eröffnung des Prozesses trotz der offiziellen Selbstmordtheorie kam erst nach massiven öffentlichen Protesten der bundesweiten Initiative in Gedenken an Oury Jalloh unter dem Motto „BREAK THE SILENCE“ zustande.
Ein Ende des Gerichtsverfahrens ist schon deswegen nicht abzusehen, weil die Selbstmordhypothese der anklagenden Staatsanwaltschaft selbst für immer tiefer greifende Widersprüche sorgt.
Da das allgemeine öffentliche Interesse über die Jahre und angesichts der zermürbenden Widersprüchlichkeiten unhaltbarer Ausgangsvermutungen dramatisch nachgelassen hat fordern wir eine unabhängige Untersuchung, die sich nicht scheut auch andere Möglichkeiten des Handlungsablaufes ernsthaft in Erwägung zu ziehen!
