A call for Demonstration in Karlsruhe on the 18th of August 2011 in a protest against the Nigeria Embassy‘s Role in Forceful Deportation of Nigerians and Africans in General
Dear all,
We hope that, wherever you are, this message will reach you in order to join us in a demonstration coming up this Thursday the 18th of August 2011. Until the day comes when all of us will return from Europe back to our homeland in peace, we would continue to struggle to put together a seemingly end to an historical event of Mobile Consular Hearing championed by the Nigeria Embassy in Berlin. We are therefore calling upon every one including the African and Non African refugees to converge in Karlsruhe for a peaceful protest against forceful deportation carried out by the Nigeria embassy.
We have over the years been witnessing how Nigeria embassy is collaborating with the German government to facilitate the deportation of our people. The reason behind this is yet to be reveal. As the rate of this collaboration is increasing, the Nigerians need to come together to speak out with loud voice. To lift this veil of Mobile Consular Hearing from Nigeria embassy, those of us who are activists have an important role to play. Therefore, we plead to everyone, in the name of those who have sacrificed their lives through the Mediterranean Sea on the way to Europe, as a result of weak, political instability, hunger and depression from their trusted leaders in Africa, to participate in making this demonstration taking place on the 18th of August 2011, from 10:30h at the “Asylum Reception Center”, Durlach Alle 100 in Karlsruhe successful. This demonstration is to give a strong signal to the Nigeria embassy that we can no longer fold our hands and allow them to sell us for their personal interest.
We thought centralizing the organizing efforts would be very efficient as the demonstration will take place in the interview centre in Karlsruhe, so we encourage all Nigerians in different cities or locations to assemble in the address provided above.
What is the rational behind this protest?
This protest is to stand against the role of Nigeria Embassy and other African embassies engaged in the facilitation of deportation process in Germany. The embassy recognized the existence of the constraints that plagues their people as not only the social fabric, but also to the individual and their interpersonal relations with family members back home. To be continued…….
What does Nigeria embassy stand to gain?
What's behind the movement of the embassy to various cities in Germany is still unclear to the entire Nigerians residing in Germany. This movement has become unstoppable despite several talks with three Nigerian Ambassadors and their Ministers in Germany. The question the embassy is yet to answer is: Why subject African people to the painful exercise of forceful deportation? To be continued…….

"The Nigerian Embassy's promotes the execution of the highest numbers of African deportation flights from Europe to Nigeria by the border regimes of Germany and Europe, and it is a common practice that the German authorities are corrupting the African embassies to issue deportation clearance to legitimize the abuses and the massive repressions against the deportees inside and outside Eurupe" Osaren Igbinoba, The VOICE Jena
