The closure of the isolation camp Gangloffsömmern in summer 2011, the political struggle against legal persecution and threat of arrest against refugee activist for violating the racist Law of movement restriction with district and the large turnout in the past demonstrations shall be reviewed as evident success.
The continued difficulties affecting autonomy of the refugee movement and responsibility of solidarity structures will be identified and critically discussed with a reflection on controvertial questions from the broad experience of refugees and antiracist activists being raised with a view to finding solutions.
Furthermore, “how to go on?”, especially in relation to possibilities of extending to Erfurt and surrounding localities will be in focus.
Although support for refugees exists in different forms, supportting political emancipation remains a complex claim that we are always going to face.
