Rally in front of Magdeburg District Court
Tuesday, November 13th 2012 – 9:00am
Trial starts at 9:30am – Room A23
Halberstädter Straße 8, 39112 Magdeburg
Oury Jalloh came from Sierra Leone to Germany, he was burnt to death in Dessau Police Costudy on the 7th of January 2005
As long as nearly 2 years now the chamber of judges in Magdeburg District Court is now trying to revisingly evaluate the circumstances causing the death of Oury Jalloh since January 2011. In the cause of this second trial, the visitors and observers from the “Initiative in remembrance of Oury Jalloh” again had to witness ruthless cover-up mentality of the involved authorities of state, judicative and executive powers of police and court respectively – the very same way, they experienced in the times of the first trial in Dessau District Court.
The chamber of Court again tries to close down the case without even getting into serious revelation of the circumstances that led to the death of Oury Jalloh. On Tuesday 13th there shall be last opportunity to apply for motion to take evidence – but lately any request for evidence has been turned down continuously.
In the face of this ongoing ignorance and cover-up mentality of police, public prosecution and the courts in Saxony-Anhalt we call for:
Escalation of charge towards abetment to personal injury and murder incorporating every single police officer on duty that very 7th of January 2005
Invitation of independent and international observers of trial with legal competence
admittance of all motion to take evidence, that is suitable to elucidate doubts and peculiarity of this case
Implementation of an independent commission of enquiry regarding death, arrest, captivation and legal trial
Enquiry of fact regarding human rights abuses of German authorities, with deadly consequences and subsequent racist collaboration of involved executive, judicative and legislative powers in Germany
Departure Time to Magdeburg from Berlin Main Train Station, Meeting 6:30 at Alexanderplatz
