Speech for the demonstration in Hanover 1st Dec. 2012 (german below)
My fellow refugees and asylumseekers,
Supporters and activists, Ladies and Gentlemen,
My greets to you all.
We are here today to demonstrate for the truth, equity and justice. And we are here to inform the public about our situation and for this voucher-system of paying us. This is an inhuman practice and another way to discriminate us. You will see this, if you want to use this vouchers.
Mostly it’s a very big shame onto us like if we want to buy something like food, stamps or anything else, and we have no real money like everyone else around us. Everybody can see, that we are obviously not living like normally people.
Some shops accept this voucher, some don´t at all. If they do accept the voucher, you don´t get any change of money back. Then you have to buy more because of the shop conditions from the voucher. Sometimes we left the change of money from vouchers, many times this vouchers will be expired in your hand, because one can´t buy all he wants with it and we can only spend it in your city, because it´s not allowed using in other cities. Because of all this problems, maybe we have to buy something over or even what we don´t need, instead of buying what we need at the moment. We don´t know if it´s business or special interest by the government, as we receive this vouchers, we also direct where to spend it.
When we stay at the pay point to pay with the vouchers, sometimes we have to spend more than 20 or 30 minutes, while the cashier is running up and down, throughout the whole shop to get the information, whether the vouchers will be accepted or not, and to what conditions too.
With this voucher-system of paying us we are still under the control of the politics here in Niedersachsen. This is real practices of racism and these laws violate the refugees-rights, especially the right to a minimum of social-cultural Life, the fundamental right to protection of human dignity, the fundamental right to self-fundamental right to freedom.
We don´t understand why the government spend much money to print this vouchers, instead of the government spending this money directly on us? For examples in other places in Germany like Hamburg, Berlin, Hessen etc., they pay cash directly and not vouchers. It´s a fact that it´s cheaper for the government and to maintain the law of humanity.
And I believe this is the time to abolish this voucher-system!

Rede für die Demonstration in Hannover am 1. Dezember 2012
Liebe Flüchtlinge und Asylsuchende,
Liebe Unterstützer und Aktivisten,
Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,
ich grüße Euch alle.
Wir sind heute hier um für die Wahrheit, für Gerechtigkeit und unsere Rechte zu demonstrieren. Und wir sind hier, um die Öffentlichkeit über unsere Situation und über das Gutschein-System zu informieren. Diese Gutscheinpraxis ist unmenschlich und eine weitere Form der Diskriminierung. Man merkst dieses, wenn man die Gutscheine im Alltag benutzen will.
Meistens schämen wir uns sehr, wenn wir Lebensmittel, Briefmarken oder etwas anderes kaufen wollen, und wir kein echtes Geld haben, wie alle anderen Menschen um uns herum. Jeder kann dann sehen, dass wir offensichtlich anders sind und nicht wie die andern Menschen.
Manche Geschäfte akzeptieren diese Gutscheine, manche aber auch nicht oder nur zum Teil. Und wenn ein Geschäft die Gutscheine akzeptiert, bekommt man kein Wechselgeld wieder. Dann muss man so viel auf einmal kaufen, wie der Wert des Gutscheins ist. Deswegen müssen wir manchmal mehr kaufen als wir brauchen oder Sachen kaufen, die wir eigentlich grade gar nicht brauchen.
Wenn wir an der Kasse stehen und mit den Gutscheinen bezahlen wollen, brauchen wir manchmal 20 oder 30 Minuten, während der Kassierer durch den ganzen Laden läuft um sich zu informieren, ob die Gutscheine akzeptiert werden oder nicht und zu welchen Konditionen.
Mit diesem Gutschein-System sind wir hier in Niedersachsen unter der Kontrolle der Politiker. Das ist eine echte rassistische Praxis und diese Gesetze verletzten die Rechte der Flüchtlinge. Vor allem das Recht auf ein Minimum an sozio-kultureller Teilhabe, dem Recht auf menschliche Würde und dem Recht auf Freiheit. Und ich glaube, es ist an der Zeit dieses Gutschein-System abzuschaffen.
Wir verstehen nicht warum die Regierung so viel Geld dafür ausgibt, diese Gutscheine drucken zu lassen, statt dass die Regierung uns das Geld direkt gibt. Viele Bundesländer in Deutschland, wie Hamburg, Berlin, Hessen und andere, zahlen Bargeld bereits direkt aus und keine Gutscheine. Und es ist eine Tatsache, dass dies für die Regierung billiger ist und dass so die Menschenrechte der Flüchtlinge auch gewahrt bleiben.
Jetzt ist die Zeit das Gutschein System abzuschaffen!!

Lautstarke und bunte Demo gegen Gutscheine und Sondergesetze
Meldung vom Montag den 3.12.2012 - Abgelegt unter: Aktuelles
Mindestens 300 Leute haben am Sa., 01.12. in der hannoverschen Innenstadt unter dem Motto „Bargeld statt Gutscheine“ für eine sozialrechtliche Gleichsetzung von Flüchtlingen und gegen ausgrenzende Sondergesetze demonstriert. In etlichen anderen Bundesländern ist die Auszahlung der Leistungen als reine Geldleistungen bereits üblich. Niedersachsens Innenminister hält mit der Begründung, Menschen „vom Zuzug in die Sozialsysteme“ abhalten zu wollen, an der diskriminierenden Praxis fest.
