Demonstration in Jena - Stop the Deportation of Roma on 27. 07
On June 8th 2013 we founded the Roma Initiative Thuringia. Roma People did never hold a state of their own and thus is looking back on a history of centuries of persecution. The history of damnation of Roma People in German Nazi times never concluded in an adequate socio-political debate although a Roma memorial has been inaugurated in Berlin.
The founding of our initiative is aiming at a better definition of our point of view within the socio-political discourse about the social exclusion of Roma in Germany and as to impeach the ongoing structural refusal of accepting regular asylum applications.

We strongly demand:
1. regular asylum cases for all Roma People!
2. stop deportation and forced “voluntary” exit!
3. life free of persecution and discrimination!
4. abolishment of the “Residenzpflicht”-law!
5. out of the lager! housing with privacy for all!
6. equal accessibility to education and working permits!
7. free access to full medical treatment!
All together we demand for our right of self-determined living!

It has been almost 70 years since Nazi Germany stopped us Roma People on our way for a better life destroying everything in it. It's time to raise in the 21st century to get back on the road of self-determination as to bring back our dignity we lost and the justice we never experienced.
The "Way of Roma People" will start here in Jena, Thuringia:
-The first meeting will be held on July 17th at 14:00 at the
Ernst-Abbe-Campus of the University (Roma Community)
From July 25th to 27th 2013 the following public actions will be held:
