Persistent juridical persecution of human rights activists and their protest inside and outside the Nigerian embassy on October 15th 2012 – political motivation shall be ignored.
On Tuesday, October 22nd 2013 and Wednesday 23rd 2013 further trials against an activists involved in the protests inside the Nigerian embassy on October 15th 2012 will going to take place. Azhin Assadi and Augustine Onyema Nnaji (Austine) are accused for “trespassing” within the Nigerian embassy by the Public Prosecution Office of Berlin.
Mr. Winkler, the prosecutor in charge of all our cases has been reluctantly labeling our political motivation as well as the history of forerun protests as “irrelevant” and did repeatedly refused to accept summons of the deputy ambassador of Nigeria to the courts as to be able to discredit our protest as sole criminal intention.
Despite the fact that several ongoing legal proceedings had to be abated due to the consistent ignorance of the deputy ambassador of Nigeria to summons of the courts, the rigorous scheme of invitation to single trials is uphold, whilst behind closed doors negotiations for a common trial against all protestors from inside the Nigerian embassy for “trespassing”is already elaborated.
We again invite all refugees, activists and antiracist supporters to show public interest and attendance in court.
