On Tuesday, April 8th a mother and her two children have been deported to Macedonia lead through by a large quantity of police officers.
At 2:00pm plainclothes policemen gained access to the flat of the family in the Northern area of Erfurt. They forced the young mother to pack their stuff in one hour. Her nine and ten year old children have not been able to pack their personal stuff. They have been deported directly
from the school recognized by their classmates. When we asked teachers at this elementary school, whether its ordinary or not to send children away with a police unit, they said, that they don't consider that as problematic.
Traumatic experiences of this kind take place every day in Germany, but the deportation of our friend Elvira and her daughters Riana and Elmedina shows, that the authorities improve the deportation chain day by day.
After not more than one hour everything was done. Spontaneous protest in front of the families house has been object of intervention by five police cars, which appeared immediately. Another spontaneous loud and resolute demonstration took place because of that at 6:00pm in the canter of Erfurt.
The small family has been deported directly to the airport Halle-Leipzig and put on a regular flight of Austrian Airlines to Skopje via Vienna. The whole story scared us, because no one was able to deal with this act. There was no information or announcement from the authority in Erfurt.
At least Thüringer Landesverwaltungsamt in Weimar is responsible for the realisation of the deportation.
At the same day a mass deportation took place from Hannover to Skopje which was realised by three German federal states. The responsible staffs of the authorities demonstrated very precisely what they believe about Roma especially today on the International Day of the Roma.
