Solidarity Message - In Memory of Francis Kwame
5 May 2014
Ugnayan ng Manggagawang Migrante Tungo Sa Pag-unlad (Umangat) of Rome Italy, joins the Libyan war refugees group “Lampedusa in Hamburg” in commemorating the death of Francis Kwame who worked for the German company Bilfinger in Libya and survived the NATO war in Northern Africa and the deadly Mediterranean crossing and proceeded to Germany as a war refugee.
Francis Kwame worked for the German company Bilfinger in Libya and survived the NATO war in Northern Africa and the deadly crossing of the Mediterranean Sea only to be killed by the conscious ignorance and the racist disposition of the Hamburg Government.
We add our voice with the refugees in their just and determined struggle for their rights and their demand for work permit in order to survive. The refugees only ask to have their rights as human beings be respected and be given the chance to live through honest work. We demand that the European governments refrain from treating the refugees like penned animals. They are already suffering from being forcibly detached from their own land by circumstances beyond their control.
RESPECT THE RIGHTS OF REFUGEES!
WORK PERMITS FOR ALL REFUGEES IN EUROPE!
