The VOICE Refugee Forum is calling: „Unite against depotation and social exclusion during the 20 years anniversary of The VOICE Refugee Forum“ – 20 years of resistance and fighting against Germanys racist laws which legitimize the persecution of refugees into a state of social normality.
After our 5-day anniversary in celebration of 20 years of resistance in October we will strongly keep on organizing presentations and public discussions, rallies and demonstrations, recoiling protests and information events as well as cultural programs like theater, exhibitions or musical performances on a nationwide level.
Deportation is the evidence of silent acceptance of state born crimes. This is why we define our public fight against deportation as a main objective of our resistance.
Solidarity, unity and community building within and between refugees are the key demands of our event.
Financial independance from state authorithies is essential for the continuity of a self-defined movement.
A allegedly alternative system of any official financial application support cannot be a real alternative as it is used to undermine our self-determination and autonomous community structure. Through such means our contents are devaluated and our dignity is neglected as we are forced into a mechanism of control to keep us busy, to suck our energy and waste our time. We explicitly refuse and ignore this usual and formal way which is contradictiv to our demand for independance.
We fight for our political and financial autonomy and to develop and strengthen our demands for the next generations.
It will be possible if everybody is contributing.

Years of Refugee Resistance in Germany 1994 – 2014
Other substantial parts of our engagement have always been to fight colonial injustice, to break the isolation of refugees, to close the lagers and to be self-organised in resisting racist discrimination and in fighting every single deportation.
We have since 1996 closed down more than a quarter of the isolated lagersgg and advocated for normal housing in the cities within the State of Thuringia and beyond.
Many refugees have taken the initiative to resist and stop their deportations, which collectively developed into “Nationwide Deportation Stop Campaigns and International Networks on Deportation Stop”.
Our continuous experience of racist police controls and violence led us to a slogan: „control the police" as we are not ready anymore to accept discrimination and criminalization on the basis of racist profiling.
We are calling on you to share your inspiration with us.
Together, we are inspired to continue our struggles to expose the injustice of the nations, their participation in and making of wars and exploitation because these are the major reasons that force us to flee and migrate from our home countries.
