Veranstaltung über den Fall Oury Jalloh am Freitag den 9.9.und am 11.11. in Berlin

Am Freitag, den 9.9. um 20 Uhr, zeigt die Initiative in Gedenken an Oury Jalloh (https://initiativeouryjalloh.wordpress.com/) zusammen mit dem Wearebornfree!Empowerment Radio (We!R) (www.wer.oplatz.net) (Einlass 19:30) im «West Germany» (Skalitzer Straße 133, 10999 Berlin) einen Dokumentarfilm über den Fall Oury Jalloh, stellt die eigene Arbeit vor und freut sich danach auf Fragen.

Und am Sonntag, den 11.9., von 18 - 21 Uhr gibt es einen gemeinsamen Broadcast in der Waldemarstr. 46, 10999 Berlin, im Rahmen von KottiFm (http://kotti.fm/) Im Radio auf 90.1 MHz, ab 19 Uhr auch auf 88.4 MHz in Berlin und 90.7 MHz in Potsdam.

Oury Jalloh - Das war Mord - Burnt in a police cell in Dessau, Germany

Oury Jalloh starb im Januar 2005 in einer Polizeizelle in Dessau, er verbrannte. Die Polizei behauptet, er hätte sich selbst angezündet, an Händen und Füßen gefesselt auf einer feuerfesten Matratze. Die Initiative in Gedenken an Oury Jalloh sagt von Anfang an: "Das war Mord!" Sie konnte nachweisen, dass sich das Feuerzeug vor dem Brand nicht in der Zelle befand, der Feueralarm von den diensthabenden Beamt_innen mehrmals ausgeschaltet wurde und dass der Brand ohne Brandbeschleuniger völlig anders verlaufen wäre. Trotzdem sind die Verantwortlichen bis heute nicht bestraft worden und die Staatsanwaltschaft hält an der Unfall-These fest.

Oury Jalloh died in January 2005 in a police cell in Dessau, Germany, he burnt to death. The police claims Oury Jalloh put himself on fire, tied on hands and feet to a fireproof matress. The Initiative in Rembemberance of Oury Jalloh made it clear from the beginning : «That was murder!». The Initiative could prove, that the lighter had not been in the cell before the fire started, that the firealarm had been turned off by the officers in charge for several times, and that the fire would have developed in a completely different way had there not been used fire accelerators. Yet, those who are responsible have not been punished till today and the Public Prosecutors office still claims it was an accident.

On Friday the 9th of September the Initiative in Rememberance of Oury Jalloh (https://initiativeouryjalloh.wordpress.com/) and Wearebornfree!Empowerment Radio (We!R)(www.wer.oplatz.net) will show a documentary about the case of Oury Jalloh.
