We invite everybody to join our fight with refugees and migrants for freedom and justice. We want to oppose the culture of deportation with our solidarity because deportations are the last ring of the slavery chain. They violate our human rights and threaten our existence!
Each Deportation stop pulls down the mask that covers the human face!
The fight against deportation has always been in the center of TheVOICE‘s political activism. Fighting deportation means fighting against nationalism, white supremacy and the colonial racist injustice!
Capitalism has made us blind to the colonial injustice of European racism. We call for our political and financial autonomy in our fight to develop and empower our demands for the next generations.
Background:
RefugeeBlackBox activism: We will be organizing with refugee activists to shake things up in our fights against the inhuman injustice of deportations.
We are united not only against deportation but also against all kinds of social exclusion. With the RefugeeBlackBox we express our solidarity and our unity. The RefugeeBlackBox – Solidarity-Campaign was initiated in 2017 and is in the continuity of the engagement under the motto „Break the Culture of Deportation“ which was initiated on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of The VOICE in 2014.
From 3rd till 6th of October, 2019, we held a nation-wide meeting in preparation of the celebration of "25th Anniversary The VOICE " and with RefugeeBlackBox Installation in Jena. It was a successful reunion which consolidated marks for the RefugeeBlackBox foundation, more than 60 participants signed for a high level of refugee mobilization. The meeting was also a hopeful step for refugee community self-organization.
With this background, we want to work towards a successful preparation for the anniversary celebrations and the RefugeeBlackBox Agenda which will take place on 6th and 7th December. More detailed discussions on the organization have to follow.
There will be info events as part of the preparations and mobilization to the anniversary. RBB installations will be presented in other refugee cities and towns.
About the Festival in December:
The revolution in us: The main task of the "Festival" will be the focus on the development of The VOICE and her testimony in the refugees' struggles against the injustice on refugees in Germany in the last 25 years with a line-up for 5 live concerts. There will be a presentation on The VOICE refugee Grassroots activism and movements by friends and activists in the networks
There will also be RBB installations, performances and exhibitions.

The VOICE Refugee Forum will be celebrating 25years of self-organized, self-empowered and tireless refugee activism in Germany. Our consistent message of justice, freedom of movement, solidarity and breaking the deportation chain in Germany has been an inspiration to many other refugee groups for the last two decades. We want to celebrate our continuity to further inspire and strengthen the refugee community organizing for the years ahead.
25 years of The VOICE Refugee Forum's Silver Jubilee Anniversary Festival in Jena are all it takes to strengthen the existence of our presence in human dignity.
Many actions of refugees' struggles might have been publicized but "the revolution of the refugee struggles was not televised to the world". The powerful impact of refugees on political changes in Germany has always been ignored or polarized. But it was our struggle that leads to the closure of many isolated camps, that lead to the abolishment of residential obligation, that prevented hundreds of deportation. Today, it is all about the refugees. Before now, we saw the brutality of the migration crisis coming, we warned and campaigned, we called on many many activists to join us in fighting against the deportation crimes. We have a chance, today, we can keep our oppressors under control, together we are acting.
Our fight together with refugees for freedom and justice:
- 25 years of struggle against deportation, social isolation, refugee lager, deportation prison, criminalization, residenzpflicht - restriction of refugee free movement, police brutality, family separation, political prisoners and colonial injustice
- 25 years of impact on the political culture in Germany
- 25 years of exile political activism, self-organization, solidarity, refugee autonomy, community engagement and structural organization, activism, events, camps, manifestations, protest and fight for freedom of movement, campaigns for refugee political autonomy and self-determined organization
- Many, many years of common struggle with the Caravan for the Rights of Refugees and Migrants
- The creation of the RefugeeBlackBox as the heritage of the struggle of The VOICE Refugee Forum and the Caravan for the Rights of Refugees and Migrants

Solidarity is our weapon and also our protection from oppression: it is strictly political.
Prospect on the Preparatory Process till December and Proposals:
We are planning support network meetings in Jena for the preparatory plans of 25th The VOICE Silver Jubilee Anniversary Festival in Jena. The RefugeeBlackBox community in Brandenburg, Jena, Gotha and Waltershausen with delegates of the refugee communities and camps in Thueringen will be hosting the anniversary in Jena.
This event will be powered by the RefugeeBlackBox network of Hamburg, Wuppertal, Rhein-Main and Brandenburg, Berlin and Thueringen.
There will be RefugeeBlackBox Solidarity installations and performances which are being planned in Thuringen and in Brandenburg before the anniversary.
We are inviting you to share your support plans for installations, information events and mobilization taking place in your localities with us. We would like to know if you have planned events in November for coordinated activities to support the 25th TheVOICE Anniversary in Jena, 6th/7th December 2019.
We need creative inputs and practical contributions to 25th The VOICE Refugee Forum's Silver Jubilee on the self-determined organization of refugees‘ political resistance beyond the courts and in civil disobedience of refugees against the crimes of deportations in Germany

We can provide information brochures and stickers for solidarity installation and cultural performance in Germany for your local events: The RefugeeBlackBox is a simple tool of expression in our networks, refugees can paint their boxes black and write their slogans or statements on the black boxes and speak about the box and your issues. Text, photos and videos, as well as interviews are welcome.
We will be proud to receive printed texts or photos of The VOICE Refugee Forum activities you may be having to bring to us as a contribution to our text and photo pool exhibition of The VOICE history with RBB installations
Forms of actions from the different locations and networks will be published online and we can coordinate events by standard internet live video conference on refugeeblackbox installations activities in the refugee camps and public protests of our networks with the others.
The next 25 years are not far from us as we fight for a new order of solidarity. - We are moving on and will continue! We are in the making of our future „RefugeeBlackBox Installation tour“ on refugee strikes and protest against the injustice and the crimes of deportation in Germany
