Urgent action required to Stop the continious deportation attempt for IBRAHIM SOUMAILA,
an asylum seeker from Niger Republic residing in the Asylum Camp in Dessau- Sachsen Anhalt.
Narrating his experience in the last meeting of The Voice Refugee forum held in Jena between 25-27th.April 2008, he had earlier on been detained and forcefully boarded through the Hamburg Airport during which process he requested to see the document permitting his deportation. The Police produced a copy of document issued in the name Bundesrepublic of Duetschland permitting a single Journey from Germany to Niger Republic.
Nevertheless, he was put into the already booked flight to Belgium from where he needed to make a transit for the direct connection to Africa. Arriving in Belgium, he told the Police at the Airport that he does not want to go to that country where he will be faced with inhuman treatment.
The strage Question that remain unanswered is why the Police listened to his plea without physical resistance but rather insisted that he must be sent back to Germany which they actually did.
On his return back to Germany, he was received by the police in Hamburg Airport and reminded in custody for more than a week before being released to go back to his Asylum camp in Dessau.
On getting to Dessau, the Foreign Office finally issued him a document asking him to leave Germany latest by 8th of may 2008.
We are trying to confirm the legality of this Document as lots of asylum seekers have been deported with same document in question.
We therefore call for Urgent action against this forceful eviction.
