LDF verstärkt Mumia Abu-Jamal's Verteidigungsteam

Am 28. Januar 2011 beauftragte Mumia Abu-Jamal die NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc. (LDF), um ihn in seinem Verfahren zur unterstützen. LDF wird das Verteidigerteam um Judy Ritter, die Mumia Abu-Jamal seit 2003 vertritt, verstärken.

Mumia Abu-Jamal ist der weltweit bekannteste Todeskandidat. Sein Fall hat weltweite Aufmerksamkeit erregt und gilt als ein Symbol des Kampfes gegen die rassistische Ungerechtigkeit der Todesstrafe.

NEW YORK, Feb. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On January 28, 2011, Mumia Abu-Jamal retained the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc. (LDF) to represent him in the ongoing appeal of his capital murder conviction and death sentence. LDF will serve as co-counsel in the case with Judy Ritter, Esq., of Widener Law School in Wilmington, Delaware, who has represented Mr. Abu-Jamal since 2003.

Senegales_innen aus verschiedenen Regionen (u.a. aus Bayern) sind zu der Sammelanhörung vorgeladen - dieser Termin dient einzig und allein der Beschaffung von Reisedokumenten für Abschiebungen!

KAMPALA (Reuters) - Uganda's government said on Monday it had seized copies of a book critical of President Yoweri Museveni written by the sister of the country's opposition leader on grounds it could spark social unrest.

Olive Kobusingye, sister to the east African nation's opposition flag-bearer Kizza Besigye told Reuters 500 copies of "The Correct Line? Uganda Under Museveni," were impounded by the Uganda Revenue Authority last week at Entebbe airport.
