On the 03.04.2012, we received a letter from the Ausländerbehörde Schmalkalden-Meiningen, telling us that we have time left till 07.05.2012 to decide to leave Germany voluntarily – if we refuse they are going to deport us.

We want a human reception here – we refuse to be transferred to the camp in Breitenworbis

Sinti and Romani shared exactly the same destiny in Nazi-Germany like the Jews. If any commitment to justness were the driving force for the enacting of this law, in face of the situation in eastern European countries this possibility of naturalization should had been extended to Sinti and Romani also. Preparation Meetings of Action days against Embassy deportation collaboration on the 9th to 11th of May in Berlin and other cities in Germany

Fellow Comrades, A refugee in Mannheim deportation prison informed us of plans to summoned him before Nigerian embassy delegates tomorrow in koln . Further contact to activist in Koln confirmed that the deportation hearing was on yesterday but we are yet to ascertain how long this has existed.The only idea is to obtain deportation certificate to facilitate his deportation to Nigeria.

It soon became clear that the purpose of the trial was to set an example. The trial was not about the individual guilt or otherwise of the ten accused, but rather about the interest of the European trade, fishing and waste disposal industry.
