FREE THE REFUGEES IN BERLIN - The International MIGRANTS Alliance Europe

The International MIGRANTS Alliance Europe section strongly condemns the police brutality of the German police against refugee-protesters and their advocates, and the arrest of about 30 of them, while holding a protest at the Nigerian embassy in Berlin, today October 15, 2012.

The refugees and their advocates are justly protesting the Nigerian government's role in the brutal deportations of African Refugees, and demand the cancellation of all deportation agreements with the German State.

Press Information:

Counter Offensive to the Nigerian Government Role in the brutal deportation of African Refugees, Nigerian and Non Nigerian Activists have taken to Occupy the Nigerian Embassy Berlin to demand the cancellation of all deportation agreement with the German State.

Deportation is only possible if a state is ready to „take back“ the person concerned and for this purpose, the German authorities would do anything to obtain traveling certificates to deport Refugees to any Country wherever they could be accepted.

JETZT: Update zum Besetzung gegen Abschiebung - Botschaft Nigerias in Berlin

Liebe Freundinnen und Freunde:

soeben haben wir erfahren, dass die Botschaft Nigerias in Deutschland von antirassistischen AktivistInnen besetzt worden ist. Im Augenblick hält sich die Gruppe in den Räumlichkeiten in der Neue Jakobstrasse Nr. 4 in Berlin auf.

Die BesetzerInnen protestieren mit ihrer Aktion gegen die Kollaboration der nigerianischen und der deutschen Regierung bei der Durchführung von Abschiebeanhörungen. Diese zwangsweisen Anhörungen bei Botschaften und durch Delegationen dienen ausschließlich dem Zweck, Papiere für die Abschiebung zu erhalten.
