ONA MOVE, Everybody!
We've received news that Mumia has now been transferred to SCI-Mahanoy, another prison in Pennsylvania. He is in "Administrative Segregation", he is not in general population yet. We need to let those administrators know, immediately, that we know Mumia is there and that the WORLD is watching. People need to flood the prison with calls and flood Mumia with postcards (Mumia needs to know that we have his back). ----Ramona

Turkish Court Convicts Police Officer For Nigerian's Manslaughter

A court in Instanbul has sentenced a Turkish police officer, Cengiz Yildiz to four years and two months prison term for being guilty of the involuntary manslaughter of a Nigerian asylum seeker, Festus Okey, in police custody more than four years ago.According to Reuters
Festus Okey was detained in August 2007 on charges of drug possession and died from a gunshot wound at the central Beyoglu station. The shot was fired from Cengiz Yildiz’ gun but the officer has since claimed it was an accident.

Unsere neue Broschüre fluchtlinien ist gerade fertig geworden und gestern mit einer Auflage von 1000 Stück in den Druck gegangen. Diesmal befinden sich sowohl Beiträge von uns als auch von Gastautor_innen darin, die sich alle mit verschiedenen Aspekten des Themenkomplexes Rassismus-Flucht-Migration auseinandersetzen.
