On the Massive investigation of Nigerian Refugees for deportation:
Nigerian Embassy defiles refugees demand to stop corrupt deportation collaboration with the German State and ignored the warning to stop the recently held deportation hearing in Münich
The demand which warned against a provocation of an indefinate occupation was presented by Activist of The VOICE Refugee Forum onbehalf of various Refugee community initiatives, and The Nationwide Caravan was recieved by Mr Shehu Musa in the presence of other senior diplomats, members of the Concerned Nigerian Kassel and other activist who were present at the June 14th protest action in front of the Nigerian embassy, Berlin.
The 19-22 June forced deportation Hearing in München Airport had left 2 Cambertstr Resident Refugees in fatal state as they consecutively attempted suicide as the only option to o0ffereing themselves for deportation.
The Cambertstr Ghetto operated by the Augsburg City to house Refugees remains one of the most horrible lager coupled with its location inbetween Augsburg Police Headquarter as direct Neigbour, Cementry , Court and Prison respectively.( just like living in the Stomach of the Monster)
As a sign of more intensive collaboration, the increasing rate of the Nigerian government aggreement on deportation (i.e the recent aggreement with Austrian that has left more than 1000 on deportation threat) is leading much to a suspicions that the Nigerian Government has offered the German deportation Agency direct access to the Biometric data of Nigerian immigration service which makes it possible to easily identify Refugees who had changed their identity in fear of the unfair asylum procedure in Germany although the accessment on this basis may be false in many cases.
This suspicion is emanating from the ongoing investigation carried out by the German Criminal Police as some refugees have been sent letters that carries an accusation of having entered Germany with genuine Visa and thereafter applying for Asylum with different datas. The letter is usually accompanied with an 8 paged questionier which is expected to be filled and sent back within a specific time frame..
As a way forward to developing an altanative solution to address this trend, Refugee communities are intensively discussing and mobilising themselves for the next line of action against this practices. Nigerians in Austria are also taking the Bull by the Horn as they are meeting on Staurday in Vienna - Austria to figure out a solution to this situation and we do hope the Nigerian community networks on a European wide level would react to this issue.
This ongoing investigation is a replica of the Bayern style of imposing a fine of 1500Euro on Asylum seekers with claims of having entered Germany withiout a valid identity documents.
We are calling on activist to take note and inform us of other Refugees who are faced with such investigations because we are at the moment aware of refugees from Baden Württemberg.
2nd Refugee Covention (Conquering the Fear of Deportation) is taking place on 30the June 2012 again in Augsburg. This next Convention is organised by the Nigerian Refugees in Augsburg as a follow up to the Ugandan Refugee convention that took place the Prevoius saturday in Augsburg.
