Frau Basak Sahin Duman, wohnhaft in Deutschland, mit Auslieferung in die Türkei bedroht. Dort erwartet sie eine langjährige Gefängnisstrafe aufgrund ihrer politischen Arbeit als Oppositionelle. Konstruierter Terrorismusvorwurf seitens des türkischen Staates als Mittel der Kriminalisierung und zur Erstickung der politischen Opposition Grund für die Verhaftung von Frau Basak Sahin Duman.

Am 29. Mai 2012 wurde Frau Basak Sahin Duman bei ihrer Ankunft in Zagreb von der kroatischen Polizei festgenommen. Frau Sahin Duman ist türkische Staatsangehörige und Staatsangehörige und lebt seit 2006 zusammen mit ihrem deutschen Ehemann in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Gegen sie liegt ein Interpol-Haftbefehl vor. Die kroatische Regierung hat Frau Sahin Duman wegen eines internationalen Haftbefehls festgenommen und will sie in die Türkei ausliefern. Das Gesuch an Interpol hat die türkische Regierung eingereicht. Der Haftbefehl basiert auf einem Gerichtsurteil von 2010. Das Gerichtsurteil wirft Frau Basak Sahin Duman Mitgliedschaft in einer terroristischen Organisation und Propaganda für diese vor.
