The Fluchtlingsinitiative met over the weekend to elaborate on the situation of their Protest Action so far and to discuss the new development and chat the way forward.
The major agenda of the meeting was to critically examine the invitation from the District Office (Landratsamt) to each refugee at the Bleicherstr 47 with no clear discription on what they expect to discuss in the meeting.

ALI SAFIANOU TOUR was born in 1973 in Bafilou in Togo. Under the dictatorship of General Gnassingbe Eyadema and his family clan, Bafilou which is situated in the immediate vicinity of the Kara region, from where the Eydema clan originate, suffered constant oppression.

1. Erklärung vom bundesweiten Treffen des KARAWANE Netzwerks, 15. August 2010
Mehr als 40 TeilnehmerInnen und Delegierte aus 12 Bundesländern haben sich am 14/15 August in Hamburg getroffen und verschiedene Planungen und Aktionen diskutiert und beschlossen. Insbesondere die Teilnahme vieler AktivistInnen aus verschiedenen Lagern und die schockierenden Berichte über die staatlich organisierte Isolation, Mißhandlungen und Erniedrigungen haben den Focus und zukünftige Planungen auf den Widerstand gegen das deutsche Lagersystem gerichtet.
