Failure of responsible officers to assist?...Manslaughter?...Or…Murder?
(deutsch/englisch)
It was more than 2 years before the trial against the responsible police officers was opened!
In these 2 years the preliminary proceedings of the public prosecutor were dominated by attempts to raise prove of the possibility, that Oury Jalloh must have been able to burn himself, chained down on a (fire proofed) mattress in a empty police cell.
The opening of the trial - despite the ´official` story of suicide - was only due to the massive public protests of the nationwide campaign by the initiative in memory of Oury Jalloh under the motto „BREAK THE SILENCE“.
An end of the court proceedings cannot be foreseen, as the official explanation of suicide itself is accumulating more and more irreconcilable and far reaching contradictions.
It appears like those in authorities have deliberately adopted this strategy to ‘slow and wear down’ public interest and support, that has been generated by the Initiative since the last two years.
We therefore strongly demand for an independent investigation, to probe the "mystery" behind the fire that consumed Oury Jalloh in his innocence inside the police cell in Dessau on 7th January, 2005.

http://www.heise.de/tp/r4/artikel/24/24437/1.html (deutsch)
We Call to protest the racist brutalisation and murder of Blacks and African migrants by the Police in Germany
We Believe that any democratic society should ensure and stand for the safety of life and dignity of every single person within its borders and range of influence irrespective of his or her race or colour, nationality or descent, confessional orientation or political dedication.
We demand true justice by an independent investigation and full independent judicial enquiry into the suspicion of a conspiracy on organised murder in the circumstances surrounding the death of Oury Jalloh in the police cell in the city of Dessau and the Police murder of Dominique Kouamadio in Dortmund ( and other victims of Police Killings in Germany).
We further demand inquiry into state-institutionalized racism in its racial profiling and discrimination, imposing incriminating laws and rules on refugees and migrants and systematically concealing fatal incidents connected to detention, captivity and deportation.
-relevant investigation of the Police conducted by independent teams of investigators hall guarantee the objectivity in need for a thorough investigation and is the only way to assure the confidence and cooperation of the public.
We Support the demands of the Black Community from Saturday 6th of January 2007 when
the African Community Conference took place in Dessau under the title “Racist Police Killings and Criminalisation of Africans and Black in Germany” On this conference the following demands of the Black Community in Germany were made:
1) We demand a speedy prosecution and sentencing of the police officers involved in the murder of Oury Jalloh
and their removal from office.
2) We demand the resignation of the Dessau Chief of Police.
3) We demand the payment of reparation to the family of Oury Jalloh.
4) We demand the end of all Police racist controls, brutality and killing of Blacks.
5) We demand justice and reparation for all victims of institutionalized racism, police and state violence against Blacks and for their families.

We Offer
our solidarity, sympathy and condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of Oury Jalloh and Dominique Kouamadio and condemn their murder.
To commemorate the brutal death of Oury Jalloh, the African Community Dessau in collaboration with other initiatives in Germany are calling on all Africans and well wishers to use this day in remembrance of other Africans and Blacks who died in the racist system of this country.
Let us reemember our departed brothers and sisters: Dominique Kouamadio (Dortmund),
Laye-Alama Condé (Bremen), John Achidi (Hamburg), Kola Bankole (Frankfurt),
N'deye Mareame Sarr (Aschaffenburg), Amir Ageeb (Munich), Alberto Adriano (Dessau) and Amadeo Antoneo (Dresden)
We Are the victims that must unite!
It is time to strengthen the Black Africa Solidarity Initiatives for Justice and Dignity here and in the Diaspora.
We Will live to speak and organise against discriminating treatment and Police brutality, protesting and struggling in solidarity with the Black African victims against police murder and criminalisation in Germany
We Appeal with the Black African Communities of activists and welfare initiatives to
get involved in this movement. We must fight to unite and to uphold our solidarity beyond the borders here and in the Diaspora and reflect ourselves about the Black Africa Holocaust in this world!
