INITIATIVE IN MEMORY OF OURY JALLOH
Conference on 1st of December in Jena
The 3. Memorial Anniversary of the mysterious death of OURY JALLOH an African refugee from Guinea /Sierra-Leone who was burnt alive on 07.01.2005 in a police cell in the city of Dessau
Jena, Thueringen, December 1, 2007 – The Nigeria and Friends Association, (NAFA), has declared further solidarity for the Initiative in Memory of Oury Jalloh event coming up with a conference in University Campus of Jena on 1st December, 2007. This is a converge organised by The VOICE Forum featuring participation of of various groups like The Caravan-for the Rights of Refugees and Migrants - Bayern, The Plataforma of Refugees and
Migrants – Berlin with The Nigerian Association of Friends (NAFA) in Thueringen, The Thomas Sankara Movement - Munich, African Union Convention - Goettingen, Refugee Emancipation - Brandenburg together with the activists of the Initiative in Memory of Oury Jalloh Germany.
The conference will also feature recent court proceedings in Dessau, the life and death of Oury Jalloh and a press conference at 13.00Hour in FSU - Uni Campus.
Top on the program of agenda include speeches from Mouctar Bah, founder, The Initiative in Memory of Oury Jalloh, and the Guinean Community in Dessau, Regina Kiwanuka, member, International delegation to the Oury Jalloh process observation from the Ugandan Community, Nuremberg, Pastor Lothar König, Stadtjugendpfarrer, JG-Stadtmitte Jena, recitation of “For Hymn a Him and a Hymn for Us” by Azubuike Erinugha - Erfurt, poet and
founding member of Nigerian and Friends Association - NAFA in Thueringen.
We call to support the nationwide initiative of Oury Jalloh campaign and the demand of The African Conference in Dessau 06.01.2007

We demand true justice by an independent investigation and full independent judicial enquiry into the suspicion of a conspiracy on organised murder in the circumstances surrounding the death of Oury Jalloh in the police cell in the city of Dessau on the 07.1.2005 and the Police murder of Dominique Kouamadio in Dortmund on the 14.4.2006 and other victims of Police Killings in Germany.
In a recent press briefing, NAFA president, Mr. Best Owie, strongly encourage members, friends and families to join in discussions that will be based on the work and protest of the nationwide Initiative in Memory of Oury Jalloh death which was initiated in 2005 since the mysterious murder did successfully led the protest beyond the borders of Dessau in Germany.
Apart from its unshaken support to The VOICE Forum in the organisation of this event, NAFA will affect full participation in the event through its issue of official statement.
