The VOICE Forum Berlin commemorates 30 Years of Resistance:

For three decades, The VOICE Refugee Forum has stood as a powerful testament to the strength of self-organization among marginalized communities. Our unwavering resistance shows that true change can only come from within the communities. Our mission has been clear since the initiation in 1994, to dismantle the fears and uncertainties faced by refugees in Germany and across Europe, that deny them their human rights and the power to fight for them. As we mark 30 years of dedicated activism, we invite you to join us in reflecting on our achievements, analyzing our challenges, and renewing our commitment to the struggle.

We recognize the need to recalibrate our efforts and assess the true power of our collective voice. By affirming the inalienable human rights to freedom of movement and resettlement, and emphasizing the ongoing importance of refugee self-organization, we declare that our existence is itself an act of resistance.

As a symbol of our enduring fight, we will install symbolic BLACK BOXES, dedicated to understanding, analyzing, and advancing our course.

We call on Refugees and Migrants to unite with us by sharing your voices and appeals from your communities. Your solidarity is crucial as we continue to build a stronger network of resistance.

Eine Ehrungsveranstaltung mit Diskussion, Ausstellung, Essen und Musik! Für alle, die The VOICE Refugee Forum durchlaufen haben.

ORT: BIWOC* Rising, Dresdener Str. 11, 10999 Berlin
Seit drei Jahrzehnten ist das VOICE Refugee Forum ein kraftvolles Zeugnis für die Stärke der Selbstorganisation von marginalisierten Gemeinschaften. Unser unerschütterlicher Widerstand zeigt, dass wahre Veränderung nur aus den Gemeinschaften selbst kommen kann. Unser Auftrag ist seit der Gründung 1994 klar: Wir wollen die Ängste und Unsicherheiten abbauen, mit denen Flüchtlinge in Deutschland und ganz Europa konfrontiert sind und die ihnen ihre Menschenrechte und die Kraft, für sie zu kämpfen, vorenthalten. Anlässlich unseres 30-jährigen Bestehens laden wir Sie ein, uns bei der Erwägung unserer Erfolge zu unterstützen, unsere Herausforderungen zu analysieren und unser Engagement für den Kampf zu erneuern.
Wir sind uns der Notwendigkeit bewusst, unsere Bemühungen neu zu kalibrieren und die wahre Macht unserer kollektiven Stimme zu bewerten. Indem wir das unveräußerliche Menschenrecht auf Freizügigkeit und Neuansiedlung bekräftigen und die anhaltende Bedeutung der Selbstorganisation von Flüchtlingen betonen, erklären wir, dass unsere Existenz selbst ein Akt des Widerstands ist.
Als Symbol unseres andauernden Kampfes werden wir symbolische BLACK BOXES aufstellen, die dem Verständnis, der Analyse und der Förderung unserer Ziele dienen.
Wir rufen Flüchtlinge und Migranten auf, sich mit uns zu vereinen, indem sie ihre Stimmen und Appelle aus ihren Gemeinschaften teilen. Ihre Solidarität ist entscheidend für den weiteren Aufbau eines stärkeren Widerstandsnetzes.
